Birthday Post, About to Pop, Covid-19

I turn 35 today, About to pop!

I turn 35 years old today and I'm 37 weeks pregnant, all during Covid19. Another year wiser and another week with a bigger belly. I'll be celebrating tonight with my besties on ZOOM, woohoo! It's hard to see the light at the end of the tunnel through these tough times but all I know is that I have set the refresh button on life and I have a more clear understanding of what is important to me, professionally and personally.

Covid 19

It's a crazy time in the world. I have tears in my eyes every day watching the numbers of deaths skyrocket, bodybags being put in refrigerated trucks on tv and our world suffering during this unimaginable pandemic. Prayers go out to the workers on the front line during this dangerous time, including my hubby that is working overtime as a police officer.

Slow-motion for me - How I stay connected

Quarantine Life is not bad

The silver lining is that this is actually the perfect time for me to slow down as I'm about to pop. I'm thankful for this downtime I have before our lives change drastically with a newborn.

My hubby knows that I would never slow down unless I was literally forced to. I still had shoots and weddings lined up until my due date but they all got postponed till late summer and next year. It's a very stressful time for all the #corona19brides and I'm trying my best help them out any way possible.

I feel like we took a time machine to the past where things were much slower paced. Talking to friends for hours on the phone has been refreshing, it's like college days again. I took a break from instagram to take a break from the hustle and grind which is also a blast to the past too where everyone is not overly-connected to people. I bought some board games like the good ol days. It doesn't feel like 2020 anymore.

All of my friendors (wedding industry friends) have been giving each other daily updates on new loans passing and any information that can help us out. It's not an easy time for small business owners.  Here is a good video about the SBA Loan. We are all struggling but #wewillgetthoughthistogether

What we have been up to

From decluttering, organizing, nesting, doing yoga on youtube, church online, we are trying to stay busy so we don't go crazy. I have moments of weakness for sure because I'm not used to being with Piper 24-7. She keeps saying "my school got shutdown".

Piper has found her passion, singing, and she sings on the microphone all day. Stu has been cooking amazing meals every night and I'm enjoying all the movie Netflix nights we get to have. Have you watched Tiger King, insane!

Piper even started playing ice-cream shop with our dog Fred. I love how she has to get creative to have fun.

I took these photos with Lisa Marie's new studio in Rolling Hills a couple of weeks before lockdown and I'm so glad we did. I will always cherish these photos for a lifetime. Stu and I can't wait to meet our Corona-baby in a couple of weeks.

Stay safe out there friends.
