Wayfarers Chapel Palos Verdes Wedding Photographer - Anna + Sofia

What a dream wedding for Anna and Sofia, especially at this magical venue, Wayfarers Chapel in Palos Verdes. The way they look at each other after being together for over a decade made my heart full. I love how the photos turned out, isn’t the light just delicious? Through all their struggles, they are going to get their happily ever after. I’m beyond happy for them.

Their love story:

Sofi and I met almost eleven years ago now, when we were both freshman in college. We were both studying comics and animation.

I always admired her ambition and spirit, and thought she was WAY too cool to hang out with a nerd like me. But she kept asking me to, and I was nervous every time. After a while it was pretty clear that our friendship was different, and when we finally admitted that, falling in love was easy.

We had some serious struggles. Typical coming out problems, family issues, finding a first job in the notoriously difficult entertainment industry, and a near-death experience (I survived a pulmonary embolism in 2013!) But through it all, we worked hard, worked together, and held each other up.

Today I am a storyboard artist, having worked at Disney and moved onto Skydance Animation, and Sofia has her own animated series in the works which will hopefully be premiering this fall. I watched her build the story from way back in college, and I got to work on it as well! (It's called Onyx Equinox and it'll be on Crunchyroll's anime streaming service!)

I feel so blessed to have married someone who is compatible with me at every level. And equally so, when faced with having to spend several months stuck in a little apartment, working side-by-side in a tiny makeshift office, I have enjoyed every second.
