hermosa beach engagement photographer / sandy + dylan

I just want to say, I would love to start every engagement shoot at Aloha Pizza eating shave ice. =) Sandy and Dylan love this place so it was awesome to start the day with a sugar high. I met Sandy and Dylan in Hawaii when I shot Aya and Pa's wedding. Dylan was one of the groomsmen. They just got back from Hawaii where they had a intimate wedding with their immediate family. I'm shooting their bigger wedding in a couple months in Hermosa Beach. Dylan is from Hawaii and Sandy is a LA girl. They have been together for 8 years.

I seriously love this couple and this session.  Sandy and Dylan are constantly cracking jokes and cracking up. We first shot at the LA Art District, we explored the area and found sound artistic walls, so much color! Then we went to Hermosa Beach Green Belt and ended the shoot on the Pier.

Sandy called Dylan Mr. Potato head because her professor told her that when you meet someone, they are like onions and you have to gradually peel off the layers. Dylan told Sandy that he is like a potato and potato skin. She didn't have to peel off the layers with him. He is what he is and you get what you see. Love that. It was cute that they brought Mr Potato head with us on the shoot.

Hanging out with them is a breathe of fresh air and I can't wait for their big day.
