los robles greens thousand oaks wedding / michelle + devon
This wedding was effortless, full of love and so much fun to shoot. Michelle and Devon are loved by so many and it was as pleasure working with them. They are constantly smiling from ear to ear. Michelle and Devon met at a country bar. Devon asked Michelle for a dance and he actually dropped her as they went for a dip. Michelle has the best sense of humor so she thought it was funny. That was the start of their relationship. Gaww, the lighting was just perfect all day and it seemed like the longest day of the year, it would not get dark. I was the happiest photographer and I'm so lucky to get amazing clients like Michelle + Devon.

Words from the bride
We wanted a wedding that was romantic, classy, and simple. Being outdoors exploring and hiking is one of our favorite hobbies, so we knew we wanted to have an outdoor wedding with lots of greenery-The Gardens at Los Robles Greens was perfect. It was already beautiful that we did not need to decorate much and matched with our neutral/blush/champagne theme.
The best part of the wedding day, aside from the ceremony, was having all the people we love in one place to celebrate our marriage. Seeing everyone there was a reminder of all the wonderful relationships we had made throughout our lifetime, many of which played a role in the development of our relationship as a couple. We could not have asked for a smoother, more beautiful day, and are so glad there are stunning photos that captured the events throughout our special day!
Advice for future brides
First of all, I am a planner and I like having things taken care of as early as possible. We were engaged for 18 months and while it seemed like a long time at first, I was very thankful for the extra time because I got to take care of things one-by-one, instead of trying to plan 5 different things at the same time. Second, delegate duties early on to the wedding party and family (and remind them periodically) so that you get to enjoy the wedding day without worrying about anything. Lastly, during the planning process, every detail will seem extremely important, however the day of, you will barely notice any of the details you spent hours agonizing over (color of the flowers, placement of cards and decorations etc). It is a whirlwind of a day. Stressing out about details is something every bride goes through, but in the grand scheme of things, it is not important. In the end, the most important thing will happen-you will marry the love of your life!
