Words from the bride: The whole day was truly incredible. I kept expecting for that one
thing
to happen and it never did, it just kept getting better and better! If I had to choose though, I would say walking down the aisle with my Dad and seeing so many smiling faces welcoming me. Then reaching Ge at the end of the aisle and realizing that all my nerves had disappeared. As a little girl you try to imagine what that moment will look like and how you will feel - I was taken back by the emotion I felt when my Dad and I first started our long walk to the aisle, to all the warmth and how at ease I felt once we arrived.
Ge and I knew we wanted to get married outside on a warm summer night - which is exactly what we got. Our vision for the day was something that felt romantic and casual. Our main goal for the day was to make sure our guests had the best time possible while in a beautiful setting. We had quite a few guests traveling from out of town so it was really important to us that their trip was worthwhile and that they knew just how much we appreciated them being there to celebrate the day with us. Every choice we made - from the food, to photo booth, and the band, was in hopes of our guests having a great time. Seeing all of our friends and family out on the dance floor, really enjoying themselves, was all we needed to see in order to know that the day was a success!
My advice for future brides is to take time throughout the day to look around and appreciate what is happening around you. I was a ball of nerves the day of my wedding and practicing this advice from another bride really helped me to snap out of my nervous state and to see all the positivity around me. Some of my happiest memories are from doing just that. Another piece of advice that I found to be really helpful is to dedicate one bridesmaid to take photos on her phone throughout the day, that way you have tons of candids from the day!
